21/365 Agave

Closeup of a huge agave (more than 6′ tall) on the cliff walk we take nearly every day.

20/365 Lego’d

A portrait of Kellie Ann, courtesy of the awesomely fun Lego Photo iPhone app.

19/365 All Churned Up

Terrible storms here again today, with just a quick window to sneak out for some shots. There’s a set of little rental cabins right down on the beach — great colors, but not exactly the best time of year to be staying in them.

18/365 Stormy Weather

Pounding rain and thunderstorms today. A quick break in the weather gave me a chance to run outside with the dog. Quite a change from the quiet, tranquil view on Day 8, huh?

17/365 Estuary Afternoon

Another shot at the Elkhorn Estuary, late in the day.

16/365 Neglected

The old barn sign at Elkhorn Slough National Estuary. There isn’t much left of the barn other than the roof, and it’s home to families of nesting barn owls.

15/365 The Day After…

Just a cloudy day at Moss Landing State Beach, but looks awfully post-apocalyptic to me for some reason — some kind of radioactive wasteland, full of brutal, cannibalistic mutants.

14/365 Low Tide

A great sky, following a day of rain.

13/365 Red Universe

What happens when you take a long-exposure macro shot of one of those weird IKEA desk globe thingies? Apparently, this.

12/365 Let’s Go, Already!

Rosebud waiting at the top of the stairs for her walk tonight. We had a sudden rain swoop in and had to pause for a few minutes just as we were heading out the door… hence her annoyed look.
