Both kayakers and sea lions were out at Moss Landing today. Gorgeous weather, apparently good for both sunbathing and scooting around in the slough.

Looks like the bulldozer did its job. At the start of the sunny holiday weekend, the Capitola beach is back to its former self, more or less.

So Capitola finally did decide to try to repair the beach, and with not too much time to spare before the unofficial start of summer.
Looks like the bulldozer has already pushed the Soquel Creek back to where it was last year (along with sealing up the end and creating the lagoon). Should be interesting to [...]

And… now the beach is pretty much completely gone. Some strong wind, a little bit of rain, and what was left of the Esplanade beach is kinda washed away.
