I was the original external hire to a newly-created and executively-mandated Site Design + Research team at Dell, tasked with envisioning and implementing the future of the customization-focused e-commerce user experience on dell.com.

While at Microsoft, I led cross-functional virtual teams of programmers, designers, and usability engineers in the development of processes for integrating UX design into the Exchange development milestone framework, while designing static and rich interactive user interface prototypes and developing formal user interface specifications and guidelines.

As Director of New Media for JTF, I oversaw the strategic planning of digital media initiatives for a $1 billion international foundation and its sponsored research projects.

For healthcare information startup Axirim, I did a little bit of everything: print, web, and identity design; information architecture, and more.

My firm (Electrum Studios, Inc.) was the primary consultant for the design and development of SPLC’s Webby Award-winning site, Tolerance.org.

My firm worked with Oregon Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician group with clinics in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, to develop their inward- and outward-facing web properties.
